Xavier’s Emporium

An emporium.  A place where ancient traders conducted business in territories not their own.  Whether it was the Hittites, the Egyptians, or the Phoenicians, an emporium was a market of mystery — a casbah of conundrums if you will — offering its veiled treasures at prices ever negotiable.

One such emporium appears on a disregarded street in Rosslyn, Virginia, an unincorporated borough, famous through most of the 20th century for its pawn shops and used car dealers.

Money is of no interest to the proprietor of this establishment — an enigmatic man calling himself Xavier.  He deals in just one thing: the existential mortar with which he and others of The Consortium will build a brave new universe all their own.

He’ll obtain this precious commodity by selling specific items to certain people who will make unique choices leading to essential outcomes.  As these troubled men and women face their phantasms, he will distill their experiences down into the Prime Factor – an essence that will reshape all of existence into a matrix of one.
